06 Oct ALFATORRES in Barberà També is an Industrial Park: Industry Open to the Community
On April 18, the Santa María industrial park in Barberà del Vallès came alive. Nearly 500 people, including residents and employees from nearby companies, participated in the first edition of “Barberà també és polígon.” It was a pioneering experience offering a close-up look at the local industrial landscape. An initiative that highlights the local industry
“Barberà també és polígon” began as a community walk that not only takes participants through the Santa María industrial park but also invites residents to step inside and discover what goes on within its companies. The initiative is part of the Barberà del Vallès Economic Development Plan 2025–2030 (Pla DECO). Its goal is to bring the industry closer to the public and highlight one of the municipality’s main economic drivers. Barberá del Vallés City Council Barberá del Vallés City Council
During the event, ALFATORRES set up a space with explanatory videos and informational panels so visitors could get to know us —who we are, what we do, and how we work. Our team was on hand all morning to guide each visitor, share the essence of our work, and highlight some of our most representative projects.
Industry and community: two realities that need each other
Participating in this type of initiative stems from a clear conviction: industry is also part of the community. Opening it up is the best way to highlight its value. Several participating companies received job applications from local residents, proposals for collaboration, and offers of services all of which strengthened the connection between the economy and the community.
We’d like to thank Nodus Barberà, the Barberà del Vallès City Council, and ASEMPIAB for organizing the event, as well as everyone who came to visit us. We were proud to be part of this first edition.
