If you are looking for a 3,300 square meters space completely focused on gastronomy from every viewpoint possible, the place to go is El Mercat, which is a commercial center placed in Les Glòries, Barcelona. This unique and singular space has plenty of food stores and various restaurants specialised in traditional cuisine. Restaurants like Casa Pelet, El Rebost de Can Culleretes; and more modern restaurants like Mary's Market, or Japanese food in Be Japo by Sugoi.
Furthermore, El Mercat also has an exciting area called La Cuina, in which gastronomical workshops are organised and food samples are arranged for people to taste exotic and traditional types of food. As a referential point, this little gourmet corner in Barcelona is accompained with live music and a weekly-renewed activity calendar. In that way, La Cuina turns itself into a unique meeting point in the commercial center, since it is one of the most original suggestions when it comes to family leisure in a big public commercial space.
At the end of the year 2014, the construction company EXNOVO trusted in Alfa Torres to take part in such an innovative and appealing project like this one. Alfa Torres has not only been in charge of the entire fire sectorisation of the central area of El Mercat, that devides all the showcooking - in which cuisine workshops are conducted - of the stores and the restoration area, but also of manufacturing and installing of its products in the warehouses of the stores previously mentioned.
